Charger 5 click

Charger 5 click is designed to charge Lithium-Ion and Lithium-Polymer batteries. Besides the overvoltage and undervoltage protection, reverse discharge and overtemperature protection, automatic recharge and end of charge safety timer, the click also introduces the fast charging feature to the line of click board™ charger products. Charger 5 click uses a programmable digital potentiometer for adjusting the fast charging constant current, which can be set from 100 mA to 950 mA, via the SPI interface.

Charger 5 click carries the MCP73113, a single-cell Li-Po/Li-Ion battery charge IC from Microchip, along with the digital potentiometer chip labeled as MCP4161, from the same company. This click can be used to easily and securely charge and fast-charge batteries on many different devices that use 3.7V Li-Po/Li-Ion batteries.

Charger click
Charger click Charger click carries both a battery charger controller and a battery charge monitor, along with a battery connector. The smaller chip is MCP73831, a miniature single-cell Li-Ion and Li-Polymer charge management controller with a programmable charge current from 15 to 250 mA. The larger IC is DS2438, a smart battery monitor which integrates a temperature sensor, a timer, an ADC to measure the battery voltage and current, and a current accumulator that monitors the total amount of current going into and out of the battery. Charger click communicates with the target MCU through a 1-Wire interface. Charger click is designed to use a 5V power supply.

VOLT (USB Li-Po Charger)
VOLT (USB Li-Po Charger) The VOLT is a smart USB Li-Polymer battery charger. It features power management circuitry including the MCP73832 charge-controller, which can charge the battery from USB power. Using the provided screw terminals (VSYS and GND) the VOLT can also be used to power your target device from battery (Vbat) or USB (5V). When USB is connected the battery is charging and VSYS outputs 5V. The Power LED is active when either USB or the battery is connected, while the Charge LED lights up only when the battery is charging. Additional screw terminals with STAT and SENSE lines enable battery charge monitoring.
